Csáky Manor House (Veľký Biel)

Highlights

Baroque four-winged two-storey manor house with corner towers built in 1725 was not the first manor house in the village of Veľký Biel, but the third one. Today it is the only one left. It belonged to Žigmund Csáky but was administered by his brother Archbishop Imrich. The manor house was originally surrounded by a park with a tree garden. At first it was a French park, which was later rebuilt with some elements into an English park. The local chapel originally had rare paintings by the Italian artist G. A. Galliarti, which depicted motifs from the life of St. Paul. However, it was destroyed by a World War II bomb blast.
